God created the universe, and there was light. Over time God created stars and planets and stuff. Then God created the earth, and simple organisms before moving on to more complicated organisms like humans.
Sure sounds a whole lot like big bang cosmology and evolution to me! But try telling that to a theist.
I dont mean to say that they're right or anything like that. I just mean that just because science says one thing, that doesn't automatically discredit their bed time stories like they think it does. Like, they're actually kind of compatible if you think about it. I personally don't believe this, I just find it weird that theists are so opposed to the idea.
So why did God make light on day 1? Did he need it to see what he was doing? Maybe the light was a head-lamp.
If he was so smart wouldn't he just make the suns first? Seems redundant.
