I'm just guessing here but I'd wager a huge percentage of the Republicans that voted Trump used to be Democrats. I myself was once.
The party left the people. And the people went were they felt they belonged. In the end, the votes tell the truth. How do you square that with your ideology?

Yeah, I don't believe Trump is a legitimate president. I don't believe the numbers reported are accurate, and I don't believe less than a quarter of voting age people should be able to have elected someone that literally has multiple people throwing Nazi salutes up at their rallies. I have accepted every other presidency in my life without question of legitimacy, even if the methods to do so with Bush were dubious at best. That includes Trump's first term.
