I’d like to believe that that’s true, but I’ve been disappointed by our political system too many times to believe it .
I've still yet to be convinced it's not all just political theater. Not saying it is, but I'm not going to allow myself to be surprised if we get to the end of all this and he gets a slap on the wrist "out of respect for the office" or some quibbling nonsense.

What, really? I'm Finnish and I haven't been following US news for a while, so I'm all out of the loop. How likely is it that he'll be barred?

Keep in mind most of those articles are pretty unrealistic IMHO. Unless there's a conviction in the January 6th court case I don't think there's any chance he's barred from running in any state.
