Rust by itself is a great language, but what really makes it shine are its many great crates. The ecosystem around rust is one of the best there is, and its documentation is practically unrivalled. So lets look at some of those crates!
Actix-web is an amazing web server framework for rust. It's modular, easy to use, intuitive and fast.
It's also what lemmy is built on! So when you use this very site, you are using something build with actix!
Bevy is a code first game engine for rust, based on the ECS paradigm. It's incredibly refreshing and different from most other engines. It is also unbelievably modular, in fact, just about every part of the engine cam be removed or added as you please!
If you are every looking for something simple to play around, try bevy!
Serde is the go-to library for serialization and deserialisation in rust. Its derive macros make it a breeze to use, and there are countless crates supporting various formats with Serde!
A neat little crate for sending http(s) requests! It's also used in Lemmy, and just about anywhere else where someone needs to do get some
thing from an http(s) endpoint!
And this is far from all! Rust is a lovely language, with an even more amazing ecosystem!

Boymoding is a mindset, not what you wear. I wear masc clothes all the time, am I boymoding when I do that? Absolutely not, cuz I'm a girl wearing masc clothes. It's not rocket surgery
Ok Im just speaking for myself here, but boymoder me was not a cute gay boy. I had boobs and had to wear baggy clothes to hide them. I had a weird women's haircut. I sounded weird because I kept code switching between girl voice and boy voice. And I was just uncomfortable all the time.
I was probably less threatening then a straight man, and women were a little friendlier. But I also was just kind of weird and odd putting. Cis people don't know what boymoders are, and see gay guys as skinny twinks with feminine mannerisms, which is very different. All of the people who would see you badly for being a trans women are already seeing you badly for being an uncanny off-putting queer they don't understand.
Anyway know I'm a clocky midshit twinkhon girlmoder (ik you know what that stuff means) and my life is way better. Liberal cis people treat me better because they know what category to put me in. I sometimes pass to boomers. And cool trans people see me and want to be my friend, which is awesome.
