That prosecutor wants to legalize marijuana...
Wait, I thought she needed Congress to do that? Is she making a promise that the Senate needs to be filled to do?
Not really... the congress passed a law that created classifications for controlled substances and the initial listings (which cannabis wasnt apart of). But congress granted power to both to the DEA and FDA to schedule additional drugs. The DEA is currently considered moving cannabis from a schedule 1 to a schedule 3 already. But Harris could order the DEA to consider descheduling it.
So can Biden legalize it?
