These are actually a bit of a cult classic in Australia. Very desirable, great 4wd campers.
I see them around the US as well. But, not many. They're really expensive relative a common domestic 4WD van.
Japanese cars are more expensive than American here also.
... And there is a very good reason for this
I know, but the commenter I replied to is obviously American and I didn't want to just outright tell them, and thought it was more polite to just let the implication hang there.
Well yeah, they don't break after 20 minutes..
My 14' trailer, build out to live in it, and my truck to tow it combined cost less than what's in the OP.
What delica are you looking at? Or how cheap did you get that trailer for?
My guess is the photo is from Australia. The load on the roof implies it, and it kind of looks like Inskip Point, getting onto the Fraser Island ferry.
I could be way off and it's somewhere completely different. But it's a memorable vibe and part of the world I obv won't forget.
