The other user only provided FDR quotes, which is not in contention. You however have not provided any other material except a link you claim proves your point... but naturally it doesn't which is probably why you didn't quote anything in the article.

The link provided is from the very department that defines and enforces minimum wage law. I’m pretty sure they know what the fuck it’s meant for, as well as the President who led its advancement through congress.
